Ingredients
- Whole wheat flour - 1 cup
- Cornflour - 2 tsps
- Baking powder - 2 tsps
- Baking soda - a pinch
- Fresh cream - ¼ cup
- Curd - ¼ cup
- Honey 3 tsps
- Mango pulp - ¼ cup
- Melted Butter - 2 tablespoons
- Sprig Gourmet vanilla extract - 1 tsp
- Sprig Gourmet yellow colour - apprx 4-5 drops
- Warm Milk - 1 cup
- 1/2 cup melted butter for brushing waffle and waffle maker
Preparation
- Sift all dry ingredients together - Whole wheat flour, Cornflour, Baking Powder, Baking Soda.
- Combine wet ingredients - Fresh cream, Curd, Honey, Mango pulp, melted butter, and Sprig Vanilla extract.
- Add dry ingredients to the wet ingredients little at a time and combine.
- Add milk and give it a gentle stir to combine all ingredients together and get a medium consistency batter {not too thick or runny batter). Do not overmix the batter to get fluffy batter. .
- Add 4- 5 drops of Sprig yellow colour and combine well.
- Lightly brush butter on both sides of the preheated waffle maker. Add the batter and cook for approximately 10-12 minutes till they turn golden brown. Take out the waffles, lightly brush with butter and serve with Ice cream/fresh cream/honey/chocolate syrup and fruits of your choice.
